M12 Asset Management is a non-bank lender based in Mississauga, ON. We specialize in providing personalized private mortgage loans for highly marketable residential and commercial properties. We focus on addressing the financing needs of properties that conventional banks may not meet due to lending restrictions. We seek a Director – Fund Sales, reporting to the President & CEO.

You will play a pivotal role in growing our investor base and shaping our investor engagement strategy. This is a high-impact, in-office role for an experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Private Capital Market fund raising or similar role in the financial services industry. You will have a strong background in finance, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in building and maintaining investor relationships. This role is pivotal in driving our investor engagement strategy and expanding our investor base.

This position is an in-office role based out of our office at 5975 Whittle Rd Suite 230, Mississauga, ON L4Z 3N1. 

Compensation: $80K – $100K base salary per annum (flexible to the higher end of the salary range for a more seasoned candidate with private capital raising experience)

Key areas of responsibility are:
  • Developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain investors
  • Conducting market research to identify potential investors and understand market trends
  • Creating and delivering compelling presentations and reports to current and prospective investors
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with existing investors, addressing their inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent and accurate communication of company performance and strategy
  • Organizing and participating in investor meetings, conferences, and other networking events
  • Monitoring and analyzing investment performance, providing regular updates to investors
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Private Capital Market fund raising or similar role in the financial services industry
  • Experience with private capital markets would be highly desirable
  • CSC or EMP proficiency is required prior to starting, as you must be registered as a dealer rep
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the mortgage and real estate industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with investors
  • Strong financial analysis and investment evaluation skills
  • Solid understanding of investment products and financial markets
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency with CRM software would be a vital asset
  • Digital marketing and social media proficiency would be considered a strong asset
  • Experience working with AI tools or AI-driven solutions would be an asset
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  •  A network of high net-worth clients or IROC dealers would be highly advantageous
  • Candidates must have the ability to travel to attend client engagements and networking events
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
