Position Overview

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President, Sales & Marketing provides executive leadership over all commercial activities at JAMMBCO. This individual is responsible for:

  • Developing and executing growth strategies
  • Implementing disciplined sales processes and reporting structures
  • Driving accurate forecasting and pipeline management
  • Rebuilding and strengthening the sales organization
  • Enhancing customer engagement and market presence
  • Fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and data-driven decision making

This role requires a leader with strong organizational discipline, structured thinking, and the ability to elevate performance expectations across the commercial team while working collaboratively with Production, Logistics, R&D, and Administration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Market Development
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to support growth objectives
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies
  • Identify new markets, product opportunities, and strategic initiatives
  • Support the President in evaluating and negotiating strategic partnerships and joint ventures
  • Maintain expert knowledge of JAMMBCO’s product lines and industry standards

2. Sales Leadership & Team Management
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead the sales team, building a culture of accountability and operational rigor
  • Establish and enforce structured sales processes, including CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy
  • Set annual and quarterly targets and ensure alignment of strategy and execution
  • Provide ongoing communication, coaching, and performance management

3. Business Development & Client Engagement
  • Lead high-value customer engagements and major account strategies
  • Oversee the company’s sales pipeline across all channels (field, digital, referrals, and direct outreach)
  • Ensure responsiveness, reliability, and consistency across all customer interactions
  • Resolve complex customer challenges while reinforcing long-term relationships

4. Operations & Administrative Excellence
  • Guide the creation of proposals, pricing structures, presentations, and contract documentation
  • Produce accurate and timely forecasting, KPI reporting, and performance dashboards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate delivery, execution, and customer success
  • Support operational planning, product development insights, and cross-functional alignment
  • Perform other executive duties as required to support organizational goals

The Ideal Candidate — Qualifications & Attributes

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA an asset)
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role
  • Industrial B2B, engineered products, manufacturing, or technical sales experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated history of achieving revenue targets and building disciplined sales organizations
  • Experience negotiating complex contracts and presenting at the executive level

Skills & Additional Requirements
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 20–40%, including international trips
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to fly commercially
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to excellence
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
