Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Clerk will support the day-to-day accounting and administrative operations of the organization. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent college graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a growing manufacturing environment. The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting internal controls, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter, maintain, and verify accurate records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, production, and inventory using QuickBooks
  • Enter and track product lot numbers post-shipment to support traceability and inventory controls
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date filing systems to support financial records and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with internal audits, inventory counts, and documentation related to ISO and quality processes
  • Support administrative and financial projects, including process improvements and system updates
  • Assist with the administration of company contracts and coordination with external service providers
  • Perform periodic reviews and audits of system data and inventory records
  • Provide general accounting, office, and administrative support as required

The Ideal Candidate — Qualifications & Attributes

Education & Experience
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Recent college or university graduate, or 1–2 years of relevant accounting administrative experience
  • Co-op, internship, or summer work experience in an accounting or office environment is considered an asset
  • Exposure to accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) is an asset, but training will be provided

  • Organized and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Comfortable working with numbers, data entry, and routine reconciliations
  • Willingness to learn and grow within an accounting and finance function
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
